Ariella Tsafatinos

Ariella is a mother of two university aged boys and has been teaching and training in the fitness industry for almost 20 years in Toronto, Canada. In her formative years, she spent over 12 years studying classical ballet, modern dance, and Jazz, as well as being very physically active in swimming and skiing.
She currently personal trains and teaches Pilates, Step Aerobics, Running, Weight Training, Resist-a-Ball, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, and Weight Management at her club, Fitness Works for Women in the Beaches neighborhood of Toronto. She loves to walk or run on the boardwalk, and includes mastering proper walking and running techniques in her training of clients.
Ariella has presented at Blue Mountain’s Women’s Fitness Weekend from 2003 - 2007, and at the Women’s Fitness in the Falls Fitness Weekend in 2008 and 2009. She has been a guest speaker at The Running Room’s clinics in the Beach, speaking on the topics of proper warm-up and stretching techniques.
She is especially happy to have been able to help many women make monumental improvements to their health by helping them increase their energy and lose the fat pounds while hanging on to the valuable lean muscle weight through her individualized classes, training, and weight loss program.
Eva-Mai

Having been a member first, Eva-Mai knows the Circuit like the back of her hand! Now on the other side of the desk, as the Fitness Works for Women Manager, Eva-Mai is there to greet all who come through our doors. A graduate of York University with an Honours BA in English Eva-Mai enjoys volleyball, baseball and swimming, just as much as a good book! Always up for a good challenge
Eva-Mai is very excited about the new FreeMotion Incline Trainer, and is currently training for her next trip to Scotland, so she can run up the mountain to Arthur's Seat (the site where she got engaged!)
Judy

Judy has been a sports enthusiast since her childhood. Active in swimming, tennis, squash and skiing from a very young age.
In the past few years, she has become extremely interested in Circuit Training and its benefits for total body workout plus cardio. Judy is delighted to be associated with
Fitness Works for Women and enthusiastic about working with mature women, helping them to maintain maximum fitness and the best health possible.
Courtney
Certified Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach
Courtney is an energetic, active and enthusiastic graduate from Ryerson University’s Radio and Television Arts program and a certified personal trainer.
Courtney loves sports and has participated in a number of them, including track, cross-country, swimming, cycling, rugby, and more recently triathlons and charitable runs. She also loves entertaining and was able to merge the two as a former co-host of Rogers High School Rush & High School Sports Zone.
Courtney is currently working full and part-time as a personal trainer, boot camp instructor and fitness assistant and taking related courses on-line. When she isn't working or pondering what goal she’d like to tackle next, Courtney is likely hanging out with her pets, visiting friends, training for a charitable event or hanging out on her farm, Pride Stables.

- She’s obsessed with animals! Courtney’s family has rescued dogs, horses and 100’s of cats since she was a kid!

Bev
Certified Personal Trainer & Fitness Coach
Specializing in Masters health and fitness, Bev is focused on providing individual strength and cardio exercise plans to give you the best workout and quality of life. She believes that most people have yet to achieve their full potential.
Bev is Can-Fit-Pro certified as a Personal Trainer and an Older Adult Specialist.
Bev has spent many years training with well-respected coaches and Olympians in the sports of running, cycling and swimming. She has achieved top performance awards in running and triathlon including a Canadian Record in 10,000m track in 2001 and Canadian Age Group Triathlon Champion in 2005 at Ironman Canada in Penticton, BC. She continues to train daily and plans to compete in Ironman number six in the near future.
Lynda

When Lynda came to Fitness Works one of her long- time goals had been re-ignited! Lynda always had a passion for Fitness and her goal to become a fitness instructor is in the works.
She has permanently been into sports, such as playing golf, skiing, all kinds of water sports and her new passion: jogging. Living in the beach is a great community and place to stay active

Kristina is a stained glass & oil painting artist and has been teaching both for many years. She believes in the connection of body, mind and spirit with fitness being a big part of her life for a long time. Taroub

Taroub has always believed that some of the keys to a happy life are health and wellness
and being active in something you enjoy. Dance has always been a love of hers, and in
her adult years, she studied dance and became a professional Middle Eastern Dance artist
and teacher.
As a dance teacher, Taroub’s objective is to encourage fun while getting fit and learning a
beautiful, ancient art form. In her classes, she uses a ‘body logic’ way of teaching which
she has learned through dance experience and her studies with master teacher Hadia. She
is certified according to Hadia’s Teacher Training Program.
Taroub performs as a solo and group artist for several occasions, venues and events in
and outside of Toronto. She has been a member of four Middle Eastern Dance troupes.
Taroub enjoys studying other dance forms and participating in workshops to advance her
knowledge and skill.

About Richard Kwan, Owner of Simple Cures & Certified Tai Chi Instructor
Richard believes that his loving, calm and peaceful nature has always been from his 13 years of diligent practice in Tai Chi and Qi Gong. As a 7th Generation Yang Style Tai Chi Disciple of Master Harrison Wang Xue Jun, his passion is to transform lives and inspire a deeper understanding of the mind and body through teaching the importance of breathing and relaxation in Tai Chi. He incorporates simple Qi Gong movements as a part of his Holistic healing of Traditional Chinese Medicine to many of his patients.
After years of training and practice, he won Gold and Silver Medals in Tai Chi Broadsword and Tai Chi Sword in the Canadian Open Tai Chi Championship in 2009. Richard is a certified Senior Tai Chi Instructor and teaches at YMCA and Simple Cures.

Janice
Zumba
Janice has led a very active lifestyle since the ago of 5. She was a figure skater for 16 years concentrating mainly on ice dancing and choreography.
After participating and coaching ice dancing for several years she moved into dancing off the ice and focused on ballroom and Latin, but found her passion in Zumba Fitness where she could put her love of dance and aerobics together. She became addicted to Zumba Fitness in the spring of 2010 and knew after attending just 1 trial class that teaching Zumba was for her.
Janice is also a certified group fitness instructor in pre/postnatal fitness, kickboxing and Bootcamp.
